Bank Northwest honors those who have served in the United States Military. Please consider applying and/or nominating a local Veteran.
Purpose of the Program
The Bank Northwest Veteran Spotlight program serves three purposes:
- to honor and celebrate local Veterans for their service in the military,
- to extend gratitude to local Veterans for their sacrifice to our country,
- to share Veteran stories with our community, especially the younger generation, to ensure that Veterans are celebrated, valued, and remembered.
Veteran Nomination
We appreciate your help with identifying and applying and/or nominating local Veterans; individuals who are residents of the following counties and have served or currently serve are eligible: Caldwell, Carroll, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Livingston, and Ray. An accurate account of the Veteran’s service history is required, demonstrating actions that went above and beyond the call of duty and exemplified courage, heroism, and bravery. In addition, the Veteran’s involvement in post-service community or Veteran organizations will also be considered and held in high regard.
Veteran Selection
Each quarter, a panel of employees will review application/nominations to select the Veteran Spotlight recipient. After selection, a Bank Northwest employee will make arrangements with the Veteran for their upcoming announcement and celebration. All applications/nominations received will be retained indefinitely and considered at every selection meeting until they are selected. Only those who no longer reside in one of the above-listed counties or have passed on will be removed from consideration. Veterans must be able to participate in the announcement activity held at the branch location closest to their physical address. The recipient’s photo and story will be on display at this same branch location for the duration of the quarter in which they were honored.
